Finally I can put these pictures here. August was a really long time ago now. It's funny how things change.
This is Hervey Bay by the way.

Here is a quick drawing for the kids to colour in at work. It has been so wet the last few days with lots of thunder. The other day I went for a swim in the see at night with some friends. Have you ever heard about sea phosphorescence When you wave your hand around under the water at night you see lots of small beads of light. It comes from bacteria and plankton. The next day we heard a crocodile had been seen on the beach that night.I still have heaps of nice photos to post but they are stuck on my mac and I need a new charger. It is so frustrating when you can't just take a bus somewhere you need to go.

Brisbane
I stayed for three weeks in a nice old Queenslander with some new friends. It was just cold enough that you had to sit in the sun to be warm. I wish I had taken more photos of the nice cafes I went to. Do you like this bridge? It's called the story bridge.

On the Sunlander.
The Sunlander goes along the coast between Brisbane and Cairns. It takes about a day and a half.
I met some strange people.
A man who had travelled all the way up to innisfail to meet a girl who didn't turn up, so hopped straight onto the train going back down.
A guy playing the guitar who told a different set of countries to everyone who asked or didn't ask where he was from. (I think he was clearly aboriginal. Why be ashamed??) He played and sang to the whole dining car between Marybourough and Cooroy.
This girl who I shared my cabin with wasn't strange but very very impatient and reluctant to borrow my bright orange cardigan to go outside though she was freezing.

It felt nice carrying this round Brisbane wrapped in brown paper. That is untill I lost it and had to redraw the whole thing! It was strange how many people I noticed after, carrying rolled up bits of paper. I was suspicious of them.

Some photos from my SLR. I haven't been using it so much lately so these are just bits and pieces.
I've been to the Gold Coast, Coolangata, Nobby's Beach, Surfers Paradise and the Hinterland. And to Brisbane. And now I am in Hervey Bay. Perhaps I can say something about each place when I get my films developed but not now.
Here are some nice things I've been looking at on the internet.
