So far today I have spent a lot of time looking out the window. In seven minutes, twelve o'clock, I'm going to try to finish my dissertation. I think I'll be up late. I think my eyes will get sore. But imagine the feeling if i can wake up tomorrow and it's done.
I'll let you know.
I'll let you know.

.
It felt like my blog was missing some humen.
It's me at the beach when it was still warm enough for that sort of thing. And then with Johanne playing about at Counter Logic.

lichtenberg figure
I saw these on data is nature a little while ago.
Lightning always makes me think, don't hide under a tree. I like the idea that you might hide under the tree, and when the lightning strikes you, the scar looks more like the tree than the lightning.

a tiger and a human
I had a good halloween collecting twigs to tie to my broom.
Oh yeah. Because you see, i flew to Glasgow for the day. And it was so annoying. So many people dressed as zombies everywhere that i got distracted. And i crashed into a car and my broom fell apart. The rope holding it together snapped. So i had to get the train home. It was so annoying.
Anyway. I suppose all the tying twigs led me to create these little people for my little jungle. I'll show you soon.

lost shoes
On a beach on an island in Indonesia, actually on quite a lot of beaches we stopped on, there were hundreds and hundreds of lost foam flip flops. One of the crew on the boat told me that if you looked at them again, they were all left footed shoes. And they were. He said that maybe because of their shape or maybe because of something else, all the left handed shoes ended up on one side of the world, and all the right handed shoes ended up on another.
I'm not sure if it's true or not. But it's nice.

Don't look up
Today i wrote a letter to a penpal. As i woke up three geese passed the window flying home for the winter. And i attended a lecture last night by Arun Ghandi. Still don't feel peaceful. I feel like punching my mattress till i run out of breath. Is that nonviolent? It's only a mattress.

Proof that
Sand gets everywhere.
Asking my dad for pictures of the sky from Vietnam, Australia, wherever he is at the moment.
Thomas Hardy...Brothers Grimm...Virginia Woolf. Connecting them. There's so much coincidence. And it's reassuring. I feel like I'm on the right track.
Quite Bedraggled.
Red.
Term has started again. Yes it's all very confusing. But great.

train along
This bridge makes travelling so great. We go at lunchtime. We bring it with us. The lunch. And we're just in the middle of laying it out on the table we managed to get when we come out from the station and train along over the water.
