Lost in a jungle

These are some of the pages from my book Lost in a Jungle.

The other day i had to explain what freckles were. I said they are little dots that some people get where the sun hits instead of a tan. And that the people with freckles always hate them while the people who don't get them, like me, are always jealous.

I don't think I showed you these photos i took. You might recognise some little people in them.

Today was sunny. I ate a pasty on my way into school. But no drawing. Just writing and planning. Figuring things out.

My plant in the kitchen that only grows up once a year has started pointing out with green tips. And so have some spring bulbs. I have some mulled wine that never got drunk and i think we'll have a party to say goodbye to the winter.

I love these but have to admit i don't know where most of them have come from. Number 2 is sarah hermans. Number 5 is Ana Cuba.

I find it so strange. Inside my head it's summer. But outside it's winter.

I was so frustrated today when i found a big dent in the paper of the drawing i'm working on. I'll have to start again.

I'm back from the jungle. It took a long time. One of my flights was cancelled so i had to get a coach all the way up snowy snowy UK. I was travelling for 45 hours in all. A long time. It felt very weird to be dropped into weather so different from where I'd been. And I've been missing the summer a lot. But today the sun came and i felt so much better. There are good things about winter. Drinking tea and warm jumpers. And some other things.

Tomorrow i go back to school for my last semester. I'm nervous but quite excited as well.
