I thought I'd take a photo of my makeshift studio (as if I am busy enough to have a studio). Its funny to have tomatoes around you, apples and also figs which apparently don't ripen after they've been picked. Outside the window is the garden and through the bushes is a field with a white and a brown horse in it.
And my sketchbook. Some circles that I quite like making. Just pick a colour combination and make some marks. You can think about some things as you do it.
Please excuse my poorly made sketchbook.

a day

As well as sitting about amongst all these objects and skies I have been trying to be a good graduate. Keeping busy. Websites almost done, pdf is started, mail outs, thinking about them, and this childrens book i am doing. I got a bit sad when i googled for seals earlier (don't do this if you like seals a lot!).
This is a nice blog.

Bretagne

I'm in Brittany. Here is last nights table ready for dinner outside. (This morning when we put the umbrella up here, the bats started coming out from under the roof, confused, because they thought with no sun there it must be night)And also a photo of the hydrangeas.
Words learnt recently:
sec means dry
cerf means stag
caresse means caress

Goodbye Birdy House
I painted this bird house yesterday. I think I might get one of my own when I get home. I'm leaving for Berlin this afternoon. I'm getting a night train. I can't wait.

Brittany
These are some things we collected on the walk on Christmas Day. We went to a really nice place called La Roche Jagu.

Butchers broom, holly and some nice Hydrangeas that were still flowering. We also got some pretty pieces of wood which have all now gone on the fire. Pretty wood makes a pretty fire. The other day it turned bluey green, though i think that means it has copper in it. I think a bit of lichen probably doesn't make too much of a difference. Happy Christmas.
