Does it still count as materialistic if the objects are beautiful and useful?

The black thing is a nightingale whistle I bought for my brother. You have to fill it with just the right amount of water. And that's his stone coaster and a scrabble mug I gave him too. And that's my lovely package from Joanne!

The light here is pretty nice I think.
I'm going to Hawaii tomorrow.

A wee experiment.

Also trying to make good use of my new tripod with photos of stars, long exposure weird ghosty water type shots (don't know if that's what they are oficially called) and this sort of thing too. Any other ideas?

Nice colour theme happened by accident.

Today I sent off a package to Jo Coelho who is my partner for the Package Project. I forgot to take a photograph. So silly!

I walked along this beach the other night with some people a bit more drunk than me. I have the job of telling them the silly things they did that they've forgotten (swimming in jellyfish infested water, dumping wet sand down my shirt and in my hair)

 Finally I can put these pictures here. August was a really long time ago now. It's funny how things change.

Cairns the other day and some nice letters. I'm flying down to Nambour tomorrow. And I still won't have made it out of the state the whole year I've almost been here for. Never mind. Queensland is nice.

Here is a quick drawing for the kids to colour in at work. It has been so wet the last few days with lots of thunder.The other day I went for a swim in the see at night with some friends. Have you ever heard about sea phosphorescence  When you wave your hand around under the water at night you see lots of small beads of light. It comes from bacteria and plankton.The next day we heard a crocodile had been seen on the beach that night.I still have heaps of nice photos to post but they are stuck on my mac and I need a new charger. It is so frustrating when you can't just take a bus somewhere you need to go. 

 







Brisbane

I stayed for three weeks in a nice old Queenslander with some new friends. It was just cold enough that you had to sit in the sun to be warm. I wish I had taken more photos of the nice cafes I went to. Do you like this bridge? It's called the story bridge.
