A month in Cambodia with a rubbish camera but many beautiful things. I miss the urgency of getting out there and seeing the land. And the warm temperature. And the new experiences.

Natural paint, creative mapping inspired by pychogeography, a map of The City of Glasgow superimposed on the world with routes and black marks that could have been on either. This was for UNFIX festival of performance and ecology at the CCA and part of my work for The Clipperton Project.

A bit of illustrated type. One of my old favourites - Perpetua.
I want to build up some sets of hand done lettering that I can use for works.

Creative Mapping Workshop

I delivered a creative mapping workshop in Possilpark for The Concrete Garden as part of my work with The Clipperton Project.

Some nice things marked on the map include: frogs, houses, gardens, i lost my phone here, dogs, trees, buses, splodgy squares and the canal.

We also used some polystyrene which I rescued from the street and an out of date road map of the UK to do some printmaking and poster making.

Here's a short film I made while I was on expedition with The Clipperton Project in Peru. Put together very quickly. Next time: a better camera, nicer sound track, more editing time.

I'm loving small moments, splodgy writing, earth from above, quietness, moody trees shaking about, humans playing, spying on people.

We were in some remote villages along the Maranon and the Ukuyali rivers, the two rivers that join to become The Amazon.

This was shot on a small hand held camera from work. I don't know the model unfortunately.

Life in the islands is better.

Listening to Dog Is Dead and London Grammar today. In Glasgow it's pretty wet outside. People wearing wellies and inside out umbrellas and what-not. I got my yellow raincoat out and found a card in there from four years ago.

Two days ago I saw a man rescue a balloon from the air in the middle of the road and give it back to it's owner. Her parents then instructed her to say thank you to the man. "Thank you man."
