Hawaii extras

This was a response to post on a forum. A woman who grew up in Armenia and a Canadian writer were teaming up to make a graphic novel of her life under the communist regime. But they removed all the information after they found their artist so I can't tell you who they are. I felt a little annoyed that I didn't even get to submit it (no deadline).

 

Here are some things that I thought were interesting. The M Sasek San Francisco book is really beautiful. San Francisco is filled with murals. I saw some baby owls yesterday in a tree in Glen Canyon. Anything else? Not sure. Maybe.

Ideas please quickly get out of my head and into real life! I'm listening to nice music from Grouper. I like this song.

So much exploring to be done. Waaaaaay more photos to post.

Some nice things so far: Scooter ride of the city with Ryan, using the daffodils I bought wrapped in plastic as an umbrella, the CCA masters open studios yesterday, San Francisco Art Institute looks like an italian monastery, City Lights Bookstore, a man in sunglasses who might have been George Clooney, climbing the Janis Joplin tree.

I love illustration

When I flew from Hawaii I could see Mauna Kea (taller than mount everest) and Mauna Loa (the long mountain) above the clouds from full altitude.

I have to send these post cards. I'm in San Francisco now.
