Here is Cairns in the rain.  The wet season is supposed to end soon.
Maybe today? It is sunny and I must go and pretend to be a fox for Elizabeth.

All these photos came out with some funny green colours. It's fuji 200 set to 400.

I was reading this Tokyo blog Sleepwalking in Tokyo. It's nice and above each post she writes the camera and the film she's used which is really interesting.

By the way this camera is an olympus trip35. Here is a really nice blog with people who take great photos with this camera (including me somewhere haha).

I'm hoping my pen pal in Japan is safe. She is towards the south so probably alright.

There's a man and a woman here who have a goose as a pet. It follows them around and waits outside while they do their shopping.  I wonder how that happened.

If anyone would like a letter, leave a comment.

Just a wee update with photos because I have been quite silent lately.

I wonder what makes those curly tracks on the ground.

Illustration for Camus' The Outsider for the Folio Society competition. (But not entered in the end. Crisis of confidence or something.)

Some play.

It rained very hard yesterday. And for a long time. And our roof is one that seems to make the sound even louder. But no flooding here.

Some artists are doing a flood relief auction. Art 4 Heart

This is where I'm staying.
Some of the walls are made from slats which open up.

Here are some more travelling photos. Actually I think they are all from summer. It only feels like a month ago. It's funny when you travel they way time joins up differently.

Now I am again in Australia and the time joins up with last January. 2010 is somewhere else.

Happy new year.
